Penn State Football: 3 NFL Draft fits for Jayson Oweh
2) Denver Broncos
There is a good chance that the Denver Broncos will not pick up Von Miller’s option this offseason, creating $18 million in cap space in the process, and allowing the future Hall of Famer to become an unrestricted free agent.
In addition to potentially moving on from Miller, the Broncos are paper thin when it comes to pass-rush depth behind former No. 5 overall pick Bradley Chubb, who is coming off a 7.5 sack campaign but Denver must decide whether to pick up his fifth-year option for 2022.
Presuming the Broncos move on from Miller, Oweh would be an ideal pairing opposite Chubb.
However, there’s a chance that the Broncos aggressively try to trade up to take a quarterback in the first-round or add yet another offensive weapon with the No. 9 overall pick, rather than snatching up Oweh. But, if Oweh is available at the top of the second-round, he makes some sense for Denver from both a need and scheme standpoint.
