2. Penn State

Penn State Football’s look is the epitome of simplicity and tradition in college football, and their decision to get even simpler a few years ago, getting rid of the thick collar and sleeve stripe was a good one.

I believe the all white road uniforms are the best in the sport, and the thin helmet stripe works perfectly. The Blue home jersey is a classic look and fits well in a ‘white out’ environment at Beaver Stadium.

These uniforms will forever remain unchanged and that is a great thing, however it would be interesting to see them try out a black and pink alternate like the basketball team does. Potentially a mat black helmet, black jerseys with pink numbers?

The generations of greatness uniform they now feature once a year at home is even better. It is a mix of all bits of uniforms throughout the years, with numbers on the helmets and grey face masks  that really complete the look, while still making the Nittany Lions immediately recognizable.
