Penn State Wrestling results vs. Michigan: Grades, MVP from huge win
By Chris Snyder
MVP
Carter Starocci
Starocci takes home this meet’s MVP, however, Robert Howard was in the discussion. Although it wasn’t really that close. When you’re a freshman and wrestle the most entertaining match of the day against the No. 2 team in the country while defeating the No. 2 wrestler at your weight class, you’re going to get some recognition.
While we’re on the subject, the number of highly recruited and talented underclassman on this team is staggering.
What is this team going to look like next season with a year of experience under the belts of Starocci, Beard, J. Lee, and Robert Howard? PSU could be dominant next year.
What’s next for PSU?
The Nittany Lions (4-0) hit the road again this Friday (2/19) to take on the struggling Buckeyes. Grappling start time is TBA. Let’s hope PSU can keep the train rollin’ as this year’s Ohio State squad is in full-on rebuild mode.
