The four time consecutive Big Ten champs hold the top spot until somebody knocks them off the ledge.
The Buckeyes run the Big Ten right now and given the recent recruiting classes coach Ryan Day has brought in, their is not much reason to think that will change in 2021.
Star quarterback Justin Fields and running back Trey Sermon are off to the NFL, however in a shocking move, wide receiver Chris Olave has decided to return for his senior season and will be a much needed go to target for their next signal caller.
It figures to be former highly touted recruit C.J Stroud out of California who will take over for Fields.
The Buckeyes do not rebuild, however reload when they lose talent to the NFL Draft, and expect more of the same next fall. The defense will have to replace the likes of Jonathan Cooper, Sean Wade and Tuff Borland which will be no easy task, no matter how many five star recruits they have in waiting.
Penn State Football will travel to Columbus late in the season which figures to be the Buckeyes most challenging test, but it is hard to see them losing more then one game, if that.
