Penn State has found just about half of their defense from McDonogh.

In 2018, 4-star defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher signed with the Nittany Lions, he will be a returning starter in 2021.

2019 saw the Nittany Lions sign another 4-star defensive tackle from  there in D’Von Ellies, who is expected to have a large role in 2021.

5-star freshman linebacker Curtis Jacobs is another product of McDonogh and continued a three year stretch of the Nittany Lions signing a player from there.

Penn State did not find a McDonogh player in 2021, but they have their eyes on a few in 2022 and 2023.

4-star defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton and 3-star Kwan Williams are big Penn State targets in 2022, and Penn State looks like the leader for both.

Part of McDonogh’s top spot on this list takes into account these seen as heavy Penn State leans.

The McDonogh quarterback Preston Howard also holds a Nittany Lions offer, but with a quarterback already in the 2022 class, it’s unclear how realistic he is.

One of Penn State’s early 2023 offensive line targets also attends McDonogh. Antonio Tripp, a 6 foot 5, 300 pound sophomore, has visited Penn State a couple times and there is mutual interest. He doesn’t have a ranking yet, but chances are he will be in the 4-star range.
