Can the Nittany Lions build on this?

This is not nearly the Rutgers team of a year ago, or even a month ago. But, by not fouling, we saw glimpses of the Penn State Basketball team we saw destroy No.16 Virginia Tech earlier this season.

Adding to the surprise factor of Thursday night’s win; key guard Myles Dread was out with the shoulder injury he suffered Tuesday. No word on his return, but  Penn State returns to the BJC Saturday night looking for a conference winning streak against Northwestern.

The Wildcats, ranked just one month ago, have suffered six straight losses. This is a great opportunity for Penn State to start moving up (albeit slowly) in the conference standings.

Dare I say, it will be a tough climb in this conference, but it feels good to actually be climbing again.
