Penn State Basketball falls to Purdue 80-72 in first game back

John Beilein rings the bell!
Was he perfect? Nope. Did he say John Harrar hit a three when it was Trent Buttrick? Yes. But I found his analysis very interesting.
In his first game as the color commentator, John Beilein provided some nice breakdowns and was willing not just to criticize a player’s decision but explain how he would coach him from that moment.
John is a not-that-far-off-the-radar potential future coach for the Nittany Lions, and it was humorous to hear him talk about the double-technical he received at the Bryce Jordan Center. I promise this will be the last time I give this award to a Wolverine, but Beilein was a nice breath of fresh air.
A runner-up goes to John Harrar. Yeah he got beat down low by Williams. But dang he fights hard. He finished with 14 points (a career high) and 13 rebounds. He’s outskilled a lot but never outworked.
