Former Penn State Football wide receiver Chris Godwin’s strong finish to the 2020 regular season carried into the NFL Playoffs for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Saturday night against the Washington Football Team

Former Penn State Football wide receiver Chris Godwin didn’t waste much time making his presence felt in the 2020 NFL Playoffs, catching a touchdown pass from Tom Brady on Saturday night against the Washington Football Team.

With 10:03 remaining in Saturday night’s NFC WildCard Game, Godwin broke open against Washington Football Team cornerback Ronald Darby, and Brady hit him with a perfectly-placed spiral for a 27-yard touchdown to lift the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ lead to 15-7.

Prior to Saturday night’s game, Godwin emerged as one of Brady’s favorite targets this season, catching 65 passes for 840 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season.

Chosen by the Buccaneers in the third-round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Godwin is set to become one of the NFL’s most coveted free agents whenever the Buccaneers’ season ends. But, if Godwin continues to play at the level he has in recent weeks, he’ll certainly continue to both increase his value on the open market and to the Buccaneers’ future.
