Ex-Penn State Football WR Chris Godwin has monster game for Buccaneers
Former Penn State Football wide receiver Chris Godwin finished the 2020 NFL season on a high note, hauling in two Tom Brady touchdown catches
Former Penn State Football wide receiver Chris Godwin absolutely went off in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ season finale against the Atlanta Falcons.
Godwin, who entered Sunday riding a two-game touchdown streak, finished the regular season on a high note, catching five passes for a season-high 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Thanks in part to Godwin’s strong performance, the Buccaneers toppled the Falcons 44-27 at Raymond James Stadium, and enter the NFL Playoffs as the No. 5 seed with a date looming against the Washington Football Team at FedExField next Saturday night.
It didn’t take long for Godwin to get on the board on Sunday, hauling in a touchdown strike from Tom Brady less than five minutes into the game.

Godwin finishes the 2020 regular season with 65 receptions for 840 yards and seven touchdowns. He’ll make his NFL postseason debut next weekend, and could be in for an even expanded role after Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans suffered a knee injury, though the team does not believe Evans’ injury to be severe.
