Penn State Football’s Jaquan Brisker was recognized by Pro Football Focus as the outlet’s top safety in the nation

The accolades continue to roll in for Penn State Football safety Jaquan Brisker.

Already selected to appear in the 2021 Senior Bowl, Monday Brisker was named to Pro Football Focus’ first-team All-American team:

"Brisker went from Lackawanna Community College to first-team PFF All-American in just two years. No FBS safety recorded a better PFF grade while in the box, and Brisker quite easily displayed the best tackling of any player at the position, as he missed just one of his 60 tackle attempts on the year. That strong tackling and play against the run down in the box, as well as his playmaking in coverage (seven play on the ball, five passing stops), led Brisker to a Power 5-best 85.6 PFF grade."

Brisker finished the 2020 season with 57 total tackles, one interception, and seven pass breakups, bolstering his draft stock ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft. In what will presumably be his final game at Beaver Stadium, Brisker produced seven tackles against Illinois, one week after intercepting his first pass against Michigan State.

However, the Pittsburgh native believes he still left plays out on the field this season.

"“When it comes to those plays, [I just want] to make them,” Brisker told The Collegian. “Because once that happens, I might not see the ball again. So just make those plays that come to me and take advantage of an opportunity.”"
