Penn State Football will have a 2020 white out after all (PHOTOS)
Penn State Football will host Illinois on Saturday in white out conditions, just not the kind college football fans are used to seeing at Beaver Stadium
One of the many things that 2020 robbed the sports world was the chance to once again see 111,000 Penn State Football fans clad in white providing one of the most impactful home field advantages in American sports at Beaver Stadium.
But, have no fear, Nittany Lions fans, mother nature provided a bit of a consolation prize.
The Penn State University grounds crew overcame over a foot of snow that fell in State College, Pa. this week and appears to have the Beaver Stadium field in pristine condition.
Because fans are barred from attending sporting events in Pennsylvania, there was no need to clear the bleachers of the pre-Christmas snow.
As a result, Penn State Football’s Saturday Week 9 clash against the Illinois Fighting Illini will be played with the backdrop of a snow-covered stadium.
