Will Levis throws a touchdown

After coming off the bench against Nebraska and getting the start vs Iowa in Week 5, it seems quarterback Will Levis’ role has now been reduced to almost solely a runner in short yardage and goal line situations.

Almost solely, because this past week against Michigan State, Levis actually came in and threw the football on a  few occasions. He finished three of three passing, highlighted by a 36 yard connection to Jahan Dotson that set up the eventual go ahead touchdown.

Before his pass against the Spartans, the redshirt sophomore had taken 23 snaps over the previous two games against Rutgers and Michigan without attempting a pass.

Ciarrocca may have more wrinkles in this Will Levis “falcon package” that he has yet to unleash, and week nine will be the game Levis throws his first touchdown of the season. He has 50 attempts this season and has yet to find pay dirt, but Saturday is the day.

Whether it comes in a goal line situation and Levis completes a Tebow Like “jump pass’ or he is in because the Nittany Lions are up big, he gets his first this weekend.
