Former Penn State Football linebacker Micah Parsons lobbies the Dallas Cowboys to choose him in the 2021 NFL Draft

Micah Parsons played his final game, the 2019 Cotton Bowl, at AT&T Stadium and it appears the former Penn State Football linebacker hopes he’ll soon call the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium home.

Earlier this week Parsons, who opted out prior to the 2020 college football season amid COVID-19 concerns and to prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft, posted a tweet appearing to lobby the Dallas Cowboys to choose him this spring.

Projected to be a top-10 pick and one of the first defensive prospects off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons would certainly fill an immediate need for a Cowboys defense that has underperformed this season and form an ideal complement to All-Pro Leighton Vander-Esch.

An athletic sideline-to-sideline playmaker, Parsons is equally dominant in coverage as he is when rushing the passer.

Parsons, a former five-star recruit, arrived in Happy Valley as the premier defensive end in the 2018 recruiting class before converting to middle linebacker. In two seasons, Parsons produced 191 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, and five pass breakups.

The Cowboys currently reside in the NFC East’s basement, projected to pick No. 4 overall.

Will Parsons get his wish and wind up trading the Basic Blues for Cowboys’ blue, white, and silver?
