Penn State Football vs. Michigan State was moved up from a 3:30 p.m. kickoff this Saturday to noon at Beaver Stadium

Penn State Football’s kickoff against the Michigan State Spartans was moved up from 3:30 p.m. to noon on Saturday afternoon at Beaver Stadium, the program announced Thursday.

As previously scheduled, the game will be broadcast on ABC.

Saturday’s schedule change is likely the result of several games being canceled across the country as COVID-19 cases continue to surge and impact various college football programs.

One of the marquee games of the season, Ohio State vs. Michigan was canceled this weekend, due to COVID-19 issues, but that game was scheduled to be seen on FOX .

Penn State aims to win its third consecutive game and second in a row against Michigan State, to close out the regular season by hoisting the Land Grant Trophy, but the Spartans own a 17-16-1 record in rivalry.

The Nittany Lions enter at 2-5, winners of consecutive contests against the Michigan Wolverines and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Saturday is also Senior Day, and will mark the final time that many Nittany Lions players run out of the tunnel in their home stadium.
