Can young Nittany Lions learn to win?

This loss hurt, plain and simple.

Penn State had an over 90% win probability at multiple points in both the first and second half.

That hurts.

This was a combination of a young team not making the clutch plays late versus a very seasoned Seton Hall team.

Numerous sets coming out of time outs were not creative and resulted in poor shots and turnovers.  Jim Ferry got outcoach today, plain and simple.  And Penn State was called for 29 fouls compared to only 19 on Seton Hall.  One Seton Hall possesssion in the 2nd half, Penn State was called for three fouls.  The next time the Lions got the ball, Sessoms drove and hit the deck hard, no call.  Ferry needs to find a way to work the officials more.

All of these issues are the reason Penn State lost a game they had no business losing, but we’ll stick with this one big question for tonight:

Will this young team learn from the late mistakes on how to manage end of game (and half) situations?
