A Brutal Loss

Penn State opening loss to Indiana was a brutal one to say the least.

The team battled back from a 10 point deficit to take an eventual eight point lead, only to see Indiana march down the field to tie the game and send it to overtime.

After scoring first, Penn State was the victim of a controversial call that gave Indiana the win on a two point conversion after scoring a touchdown.

The team was emotional during that game, and losing like can take a lot out of you. Losing in college football is especially bad for a top 10 team, because one loss can all but end your playoff chances.

We’ve seen Penn State struggle after their first loss the last three seasons. In 2017, after a heart breaking loss to Ohio State, Penn State lost to a Michigan State team that they were far superior to the following week. In 2018, the same thing happened as another rough loss to Ohio State led to a loss to MSU the next week.

It seems that unlike in those years, Penn State couldn’t stop the snowball this time.

Seriously, what exactly did the Nittany Lions have to play for after falling to 0-2?
