New Coaches

Penn State is dealing with a lot of coaching turnover from 2019 to 2020.

The team has a new offensive coordinator, offensive line coach, wide receiver coach and defensive line coach.

With an off season full of turmoil where the team did not meet in person from the middle of March until late July, it’s hard to build relationships and learn new techniques.

The fact that Penn State was also trying to install a new offense under Kirk Ciarrocca during this time is almost impossible to do. Not fully understanding or knowing the playbook, may be why we’ve seen quarterback Sean Clifford regress from last season.

Outside of the wide receivers, the groups with a new coach have not performed to the level many have expected. Not having time with the coaches is starting to show.
