Penn State Football at Nebraska: 3 Biggest Surprises

This team is just that bad

The 2020 college football season has been a weird one, as the current pandemic has ravaged the schedule, and we have seen some big-time programs get off to very slow starts.

In a usual year, big programs schedule some cupcake games to start off the season, but that has not been the case in 2020, as the Big Ten schedule kicked off in Week 1.

For Penn State, there have been plenty of hurdles, from Micah Parsons not returning and turning pro, to the tragedy that we learned about this past week with Journey Brown. As a roster, the Nittany Lions are just not as talented as they have been in recent years, and the gap between them and the other programs in the Big Ten has been narrowed considerably.

Penn State is a premier program in college football, so while this is a down year, and a bad team, there is always optimism moving forward. There are a lot of issues on both sides of the ball, including at quarterback, but they have four games to turn this thing around before the season finished up in December.
