Penn State Football looks to even up all-time series vs. Nebraska

Recent Meetings

From 1983 through the 2013 season, Nebraska won five of six meetings, with their only loss coming in a drubbing by the Nittany Lions in 2002. While Penn State won a high-scoring affair against Nebraska the last time they met, beating the Cornhuskers by a score of 56-44, it is anybody’s guess at to who will win this one.

From 2003 through 2013, all of these games in the series have been close, as each of the contests were won by less than ten points. That could be the case on Saturday, as both teams were beaten pretty soundly by Ohio State this season, and it is hard to get a gauge on just how good, or just how bad either of these teams are in 2020.

The 2020 season is a weird one, as programs battle through a shortended-season, as well as a pandemic that is ravaging the country. Penn State is only a 3.5 point favorite on the road on Saturday, but they will have to stop a solid Nebraska rushing attack that averages over 200 yards per game, so it could be a major time of possession battle inside Memorial Stadium.
