5. at Rutgers Scarlet Knights

There’s no doubt that Greg Schiano has the Scarlet Knights believing in North Jersey, and there’s little doubt that Rutgers won’t be looking to extract a pound of flesh from Penn State to give their new, former, new again head coach a signature victory.

Likewise, Schiano has done an admirable job on the recruiting trail since his return to the Garden State this winter.

However, Penn State’s talented and stifling defense should be able to remind Rutgers just how far away they are from competing in the B1G East. There’s also a chance that if Penn State makes it to the penultimate game of the regular season unscathed, a New Year’s day bowl game could still be within reach. If that’s the case, there’s no chance Franklin will let his team take Schiano’s squad lightly.
