Penn State football looks to continue their dominance against Maryland

Recent Dominance

Penn State has dominated this rivalry from the outset, but what they have done in recent years is even more impressive. Looking back on their last three meetings with the Terrapins, the Nittany Lions have outscored them by a score of 163-6, holding them to only a field goal in two games, and shutting them out in the other.

After losing in 2014, and then winning by only one point in 2015, Penn State has walked all over Maryland, and despite the 0-2 start, they have the talent to do so in this one as well. While Maryland looked solid on offense last weekend against Minnesota, they did allow 44 points to the Golden Gophers, and that was fresh off allowing 43 in an opening loss to Northwestern.

Penn State should have no problem scoring points against this Terrapins defense, and it will be up to the Nittany Lions defense to hold Tagovailoa in check.

Maryland is the perfect opportunity for the Penn State Nittany Lions to get their season back on track, and they should be able to take care of business on Saturday. While Tagovailoa is going to be a very good quarterback, the Penn State defense will do enough to make life tough for him in this one, as they get their first win of the 2020 season.
