Penn State football’s season has not gotten off to the start many expected or predicted, and the defense is not void of blame for the 0-2 start.

This season has been a bit of a roller coaster for Penn State Football’s defense already, starting in August when star linebacker Micah Parsons opted out, then flirted with coming back, and ultimately did not. A week one trip to Indiana had its fair share of controversy which ultimately ended up with the Penn State defense surrendering a game winning two point conversion. A week two visit from the Buckeyes was not friendly either, which saw Ohio State tally up 525 yards allowed and 38 points on the Nittany Lions defense.

There is a lot of football left to be played, however the defense will need to turn the tides if they are going to turn the season around.
