Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer believes Penn State Football’s Whiteout atmosphere makes a 7-10 point impact on the game

Penn State Football had the annual White Out scheduled for the game against Ohio State this season, but of course, there won’t be 110,000 fans at Beaver Stadium this Saturday night, which Urban Meyer says is a huge advantage for the Buckeyes.

"“This is a home environment that really impacts the game… It’s usually a 7- to 10-point differential that right now is zero,” Meyer said via FoxSports"

Meyer was on the sideline for the Nittany Lions’ 2016 victory over Ohio State that propelled Penn State to a Big Ten East division title and Conference Championship win over Wisconsin.

However, that was the most recent Penn State victory over Ohio State, despite the fact that the Nittany Lions have lost by a combined 13 points over the past three meetings between the programs.

Ohio State enters Saturday night as a 10-point favorite over the Nittany Lions, after Penn State stumbled in the season opener, an overtime loss at Indiana to the Hoosiers. It is easy to see the impact Penn State’s raucous atmosphere has on the minds of oddsmakers, and we will find out Saturday night how much the absence of fans has on the game itself.
