With standout linebacker Micah Parsons opting out of his junior season due to covid concerns, and to prepare for the NFL Draft, Penn State football will be looking for a playmaker on that side of the ball.

Look no further then senior safety Lamont Wade. The 5-foot-9, 187 pound safety started every game last season, racking up 67 tackles, two sacks and five passes defended..

The Clairton, Pa native was named a captain this past week and will be responsible for a secondary that was exposed by Indiana last season to a tune of 371 yards and a touchdown through the air. Indiana QB Michael Pennix started six games last season, but never faced a defense of the caliber of Penn State’s.

Sound secondary play will be key to success on Saturday.
