RB Noah Cain

With the news of running back Journey Brown potentially missing the season due to an undisclosed medical condition, all eyes will be on sophomore Noah Cain.

Cain, a former 4-star, top 100 recruit was coming into his own last season before an ankle injury against Michigan State sidelined him for the remainder of the regular season. His 2019 season was highlighted by a breakout performance in a night game at Iowa, where he ran over Hawkeye defenders en route to 102 yards and a TD on 22 carries.

Cain does not have the burst or “track speed” of a Journey Brown, but his north and south running style  wear down defenses and make him a tough tackle late in games. Cain has all the makings of a feature back and will get his chance this year to prove it.
