3. Penn State’s DEs vs Indiana OTs

Want to help out Castro-Fields against Philyor? Don’t let the ball get thrown his way.

For how talented Michael Penix Jr. is, he struggles with pocket awareness and is not much of a scrambler. Penn State needs to take advantage of this by using their two speed rushers, Shaka Toney and Jayson Oweh as much as possible.

This duo will be one of the faster defensive end duos we’ve seen at Penn State in recent memory. They will be going up against two big boys, as Indiana left tackle comes in at 6’8 362 and the right tackle at 6’6 314. It may be hard for the smaller defensive ends to go through these guys, but it should be a lot easier to go around them.

Toney has five career sacks against Indiana, and expect the senior to continue that production on Saturday. It helps that he has a projected first round pick in Oweh on the other side for Indiana to worry about.

If these two can rattle Penix, Castro-Fields and the other corners won’t have too much to worry about, but that’s a big if.
