LB Jayson Oweh

Arguably Penn State’s most athletic defensive player, Oweh looks to build on his five-sack redshirt-freshman campaign in 2019.

Oweh, who was timed at 4.33 in the 40-yard dash, embodies Penn State’s commitment to a fast defense that flies to the football, and will likely start at his natural position of defensive end opposite Shaka Toney.

Pressuring the quarterback is going to be essential to Penn State’s success, particularly against Ohio State’s Justin Fields in Week 2.

If Oweh’s speed and athleticism combined with increased playing team leads to a jump in production, his name is going to climb up draft boards across the NFL this winter and the Nittany Lions’ defense might even exceed lofty expectations.
