TE Pat Freiermuth

Unquestionably, Pat Freiermuth is the Nittany Lions’ most dangerous offensive weapon and one of the nation’s premier tight ends.

Drawing comparisons to Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski, Freiermuth has the chance this season to solidify his position as a first-round pick in next April’s NFL Draft.

Freiermuth, a matchup nightmare for tight ends or safeties, caught 43 passes for 507 yards and seven touchdowns, while averaging 11.8 yards per reception. One of Sean Clifford’s favorite targets, it isn’t a stretch to think Freiermuth could push for over 50 receptions and 750 yards in 2020.

Penn State’s passing game will likely be as dominant as Freiermuth and fellow TE Zach Kuntz want it to be.
