WR Jahan Dotson

K.J. Hamler was a matchup nightmare, and integral to Penn State’s offensive success the past two seasons, and the Nittany Lions might not have a comparable deep threat on the roster.

But, Jahan Dotson will be called on to fill one of the starting receiver spots and likely fill a similar role in Ciarrocca’s scheme.

Don’t be surprised if Dotson approaches Minnesota wide receiver Tyler Johnson’s 1,318 yards and 13 touchdowns last season in this scheme.

Dotson might not have Hamler’s game-breaking speed, but he’s sure-handed and a smooth route-runner. If the former four-star recruit can build on his 2019 campaign, where he averaged 18.1 yards per reception while catching 27 passes for 488 yards and five touchdowns, Penn State’s aerial attack is going to be just fine.
