KeAndre Lambert-Smith (Wide Receiver)

The true freshman was one of the headliners of Penn State’s impressive skill position haul in the 2020 recruiting class, and with the team’s lack of depth at wide receiver, fans will see Lambert-Smith right away.

The 6’1 185 pound wide out has to fill the void left by Chris Godwin on the outside that really hasn’t been filled since Godwin’s departure after the 2016 season. He has the combo of size, speed and hands that this unit has missed since Godwin.

Outside of Jahan Dotson, the current receivers on the roster have combined for 23 career catches. There’s not a lot of experience, so it’s easier for a younger guy like Lambert-Smith to come in and make an impact on day one.  It would not be a huge surprise to see him jog out onto the field with Sean Clifford and company when the offense takes the field against Indiana.
