This series has been dominated by the Nittany Lions, with Penn State winning 21 of 22 meetings, including the last six games between Big Ten East rivals. Last season, Penn State eeked out a 34-27 win at Beaver Stadium with Journey Brown rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries, while averaging 4.8 yards per attempt.
Meanwhile, Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford passed for 179 yards and a touchdown, while adding 55 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.
Clifford and Brown will once again be cornerstones of the Nittany Lions’ offense in 2020.
Penn State will look to build early season momentum with a win over the Hoosiers, while Tom Allen’s club will certainly have an upset on their mind after falling short by just 12 points combined the past two seasons.
