Predicting Penn State Football’s ranking in the AP top 25 poll | Week 6

Penn State football could rise in Week 6 of the AP Top 25 Poll, after Florida and Miami lost during a chaotic college football Saturday.

Penn State football has a chance to move closer to the top-five in the AP Top 25 Poll, despite having not yet kicked off the 2020 Big Ten season, following another slew of upsets on Saturday.

The previously No. 4 ranked Florida Gators were stunned, 41-38 against No. 21 Texas A&M. Meanwhile, the defending champion and No. 17 ranked LSU were upended 45-41 against Missouri, effectively ending the Tigers’ bid to repeat as College Football Playoff national champions.

Head coach James Franklin’s Nittany Lions won’t kickoff the season until Oct. 24 against Indiana, but given Florida and Miami’s losses, could rise from their No. 9 ranking last week.
