Former Penn State WR Allen Robinson’s fast start to the 2020 NFL season continued in Week 4

Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson continues to build a case as the most dominant Penn State product currently in the NFL, following another standout performance Sunday.

Robinson was once again Bears quarterback Nick Foles’ favorite target, catching seven passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.

While the Bears lost 19-11 to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Soldier Field, Robinson’s circus touchdown catch over Colts defensive back Josh Robinson was a highlight:

Robinson has consistently been among the NFL’s premier wide receivers over the past five seasons and has caught 25 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns through the first four weeks.

However, Robinson wasn’t the only former Nittany Lion with an impressive performance on Sunday:

Carolina Panthers DE Yetur-Gross Matos

Gross-Matos, chosen by the Panthers in the second-round of April’s NFL Draft, has seen his role increase each of the last three weeks, with Sunday’s performance against the Arizona Cardinals his most productive yet.

With 9:51 remaining in the third quarter, Gross-Matos beat his man off the edge, provided backside pressure on Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray to pick up his first career sack and forced fumble.

Gross-Matos added three tackles, and now has six total tackles and one sack on the season.

New York Giants DL Austin Johnson

Defensive line is among the strongest positions on the Giants’ defense, and while Austin Johnson saw limited playing time in the first three weeks of the season, the former second-round draft choice had his strongest showing of 2020 on Sunday afternoon against the Rams.

Johnson forced a first-half fumble the Giants recovered and converted into a Graham Gano field goal, and later sacked Rams quarterback Jared Goff.

The Giants fell to the Rams 17-9, but Johnson finished with a season-high two tackles, including one tackle for loss.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders

The Eagles’ offense has struggled to find its footing during an 0-2-1 start to the season, but Sunday night Philadelphia relied on a swarming defense and Carson Wentz’s right arm against the San Francisco 49ers.

Still, former Penn State running back Miles Sanders made a couple of big plays, including a 28-yard reception, in the Eagles’ 25-20 win in Santa Clara. Sanders finished with 13 carries for 46 yards and added two catches for 30 yards as the Eagles moved into first-place in the NFC East after getting their first victory.
