Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

It was a quiet day for the wide receivers and tight ends, as it was a quiet day for Penn State passing the ball. The highlight of the day was easily Jahan Dotson’s 44-yard touchdown catch, which was his only reception of the game.

Furthermore, K.J Hamler had five catches for 22 yards to go along with three carries for six yards in what has been a quiet last two games for the speedy receiver.

Daniel George, who was starting in place of Justin Shorter after he entered the transfer portal last week, had one reception for 11 yards. Pat Freiermuth was the only other pass-catcher to have a reception, as he had one reception for four yards.

While Jahan Dotson had the biggest highlight of this group on the field, Pat Freiermuth had the biggest highlight of this group off the field, as he announced he’ll be returning to Penn State next season rather than entering the NFL Draft. This was absolutely huge news, as Freiermuth is undoubtedly a top tight end in the nation.

Grade: B
