Penn State Football: Grades vs. Ohio State
By Dylan Burd
Only two running backs got carries for Penn State this week: Journey Brown and Noah Cain. Devyn Ford didn’t play at all, and Ricky Slade didn’t make the trip.
Brown continued the tear he’s on as of late and had 64 yards on 11 carries. He also had an 18-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, which was one of his best runs all season.

If there was one downside of Journey Brown’s performance, it was the drop he had on the Penn State drive when it was 21-14. If Brown catches that pass from Will Levis, it’s probably a tie game. Brown had two receptions for a combined -3 yards on the day.
Noah Cain, who played in his first game since he was injured on October 26th at Michigan State, only had one carry for one yard.
In the three games since the Noah Cain injury, Journey Brown has 288 yards and four touchdowns on 46 carries. Unless something drastic happens, it surely looks like Brown won’t be letting go of that starting running back spot anytime soon.
