A. . . . SPECIAL TEAMS

There isn’t much to say this week about the special teams, which is a good thing. Penn State had no special team penalties, didn’t allow any big kick or punt returns, recovered an onside kick, stopped a fake punt and made all its kicks. What else can you ask for?

Furthermore, Jan Johnson recovered an Indiana fumble on a muffed punt early in the first quarter, which led to Penn State’s first touchdown drive of the game.

It was a solid day all around for the Nittany Lions on special teams, something that we’ve seen from them almost every game this season.
