Penn State Football: Grading Nittany Lions vs. Michigan State
By Dylan Burd
It was an average night for the Penn State offensive line. They allowed Sean Clifford to be sacked twice, which is a solid number but allowed him to be hurried six times, which isn’t great at all.
In terms of rushing yards, Penn State had 113 yards on 37 carries, which is 3.1 yards per carry. Following this game, Michigan State’s average rushing yards allowed per game is 117.1, so Penn State went just a bit below average in that category.
A big positive for the Penn State offensive line is that they didn’t have a single penalty. Penn State had an offensive holding call, but it was on wide receiver Jahan Dotson, not the offensive line.
Minnesota’s rushing defense is right behind Michigan State, as they allow 117.4 yards per game on the ground, so Penn State’s offensive line will face another tough test in their next game.
