Penn State football picked up multiple commitments this weekend for the 2021 class.

It seems as though Penn State football’s ‘white-out’ weekend was a massive success in more ways than one. For starters, Penn State’s relentless fans sold-out Beaver Stadium for the enormous event, as expected. As crowd noise can play a major factor in football, the Lions needed the energy from their fans, and they got it.

Secondly, the Nittany Lions came away with another win on the year. With that victory, Penn State advances to 7-0 on the season, sitting just outside of the top-five on the AP Top-25 coaches poll. While Penn State had tons of attention on them before the Michigan matchup, that win inevitably moves the needle for doubters this week.

Ultimately, Penn State won this weekend for the present time — but they also won for the future too — more than once, might I add. As we know, a significant event such as a white-out versus Michigan calls for the Nittany Lions to bring in recruiting prospects to practically show off.

Showcasing the game-day energy, and a win will always help prospects think about Penn State a little more when making a decision for their future.

While more recruits are expected in the future, two were already itching to make their decision’s official. The first commitment came before the Michigan game even kicked off.  2021 offensive line prospect Nate Bruce gave James Franklin his word and became the second prospect to commit to the Lions in his class verbally.

Bruce is a six-foot-four-inch offensive lineman, who comes from Harrisburgh, Pennsylvania. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Bruce grades out as a three-star prospect, ranked as the 31st offensive guard in the nation. 14th overall in Pennsylvania.

He wasn’t alone, though. After the big game, wide receiver Liam Clifford also rushed to Penn State’s locker room after the Michigan win and let his brother, Sean know that he was coming to Penn State in 2021. So with that, the Lions land a three-star wide receiver for the 2021 class as well. Clifford ranks as the 16th best player out of Ohio and 47th out of all offensive athletes.
