Right now, the Junior safety Lamont Wade is playing some excellent football in the secondary. To start the season, the secondary was headlined by cornerback, John Reid, as he started the year off hot with two interceptions in two weeks.

Since then, Reid has been more on the quiet side, though. That’s not to say he’s been playing bad, but another secondary player has taken over in the spotlight lately. That player happens to be Junior safety, Lamont Wade.

Just last week, Lamont Wade led the Lions defense with seven total tackles. As he played with a high-intensity, it’s clear that Wade can be a major contributor in the Lions’ defense when he’s on. This week, they will need a repeat performance, as the Lions need to keep up their elite play on that side of the ball in order to make life easier for the offense.
