The Penn State defense held Maryland to only 68 passing yards, which is unbelievable considering Josh Jackson had 724 passing yards within the first three games combined.

Cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields had the first interception of the game for Penn State. It came at an extremely important time as well, as Maryland put together a 14-play, 64-yard drive prior to the interception at the Penn State 11-yard line.

Safety Garrett Taylor led the Penn State secondary with 4 tackles. Jaquon Brisker and Jonathan Sutherland had three tackles each. In addition, true freshman cornerback Joey Porter Jr. had a pass defensed, but he also got called for a pass interference call, the only penalty from the secondary in the game. True freshman cornerback Keaton Ellis had two tackles and a fumble recovery.

You sort of get the point by now… Another position unit, another A.
