4. Sean Clifford’s preparation

Of course, we’re assuming that HBO is going to have a strong focus on QB1 when the camera crew comes to town. Sean Clifford isn’t quite the star that Trace McSorley was, but he’s beginning to be on his way as he leads one of the nation’s top teams right now.

It’s just pretty much impossible for HBO not to create a storyline around football’s most popular position. It’s unfortunate that Clifford has to deal with this kind of distraction a few weeks into his first season as a full-time starter, but who knows — maybe the cameras will be motivation.

As Clifford has served the Lions well so far in his first year as the starter, he still has a lot to work on. And this is something that he knows. It will be interesting to see the red shirt Sophomore preparing for his upcoming opponent and taking on a leadership role. It sounds like Clifford does an excellent job of leading the team, but now we’ll get an in-depth look at it for a week.
