4. Sean Clifford remains turnover-free

Let’s keep the focus on the quarterback for a moment. Now that Clifford is a lot more comfortable with his position at the Nittany Lions’ starting quarterback, we can sense a different type of swagger. This kid does seem like the real deal — even though the opponents have been relatively weak. Well, he can’t help who he plays. And this week, Pitt isn’t much tougher of an opponent.

Clifford has thrown six touchdowns to date. On the flip side, he’s turned the ball over zero times. Granted, he avoided a close one back on the first drive against Idaho as he fumbled, but fortunately, Penn State was able to recover.

Turnovers have not been easy to create for Penn State’s opponents. And that won’t change a bit on Saturday against Pittsburgh. Clifford will have multiple touchdown passes (and a rush), and he will take care of the ball for the third week in a row remaining turnover-free.
