3. Sean Clifford scores his first rushing TD

On the last slide, I mentioned it would be a passing game. Ironically enough, I believe Sean Clifford will be the one to score a rushing touchdown this week. He was so close against Buffalo with a 58-yard dash that set up an easy Noah Cain score on the next play.

Heading into the new season, many questioned Clifford’s ability as a runner. As he was scouted as a Pro-Style quarterback, his pocket presence was what everybody focused on. However, a critique from James Franklin forced Clifford to get to working on his wheels.

As it turns out, he’s now faster than former Penn State quarterback, Trace McSorley. The only question was: Does Clifford have good rushing instincts? So far, he’s checked all boxes in that department. The final thing he needs to do is run in for six. I think it goes down this weekend.
