Penn State football moved to 2-0 on the season with a 45-13 win over Buffalo on Saturday night at Beaver Stadium.

After a 79-7 win over FCS Idaho in Week 1, Penn State football took care of their first FBS opponent with a 45-13 win over Buffalo in Week 2.

However, the win didn’t come as easy as many expected. Penn State trailed Buffalo by a score of 10-7 at halftime before outscoring them 28-3 in the third quarter.

In addition, despite the 32-point win, Penn State lost the time of possession battle to Buffalo, as the Nittany Lions had the ball for only 17:28 compared to the Bulls, who had the ball for 42:32.

Penn State also had less total yards than Buffalo, as the Nittany Lions totaled 357 yards compared to the Bulls’ 429 yards.

On the bright side for Penn State, they did win the turnover battle in the game in addition to the penalty battle.

Penn State is a really young team, and there’s no doubt that it showed on Saturday night against Buffalo. It’s also clear that this is a group with a ton of potential, and the more experience they get, they better they are going to be. There’s a lot to clean up, but also a lot to be excited about.

With that being said, let’s take a more in-depth look at each Penn State positional units’ performance this week.
