Former Penn State football stars Sean Lee and Saquon Barkley recently exchanged uniforms after their NFL battle on Sunday.

Last week, the college football season kicked off, which happened to be one week earlier than the NFL’s debut, per usual. So we had to wait for a lot of former Penn State football players to make their season debut’s for their 2019 effort.

It was quite an exciting week for Penn State alumns. During the Thursday night opener, two former Nittany Lions shined for their respective teams. Allen Robinson led the Chicago Bears in receiving, while safety Adrian Amos had the game-sealing interception with the Packers.

It was quite the start for former Nittany Lions in the season-opener. Then, on Sunday, former Nittany Lions’ running back Miles Sanders debuted as a rookie with the Philadelphia Eagles. Although his rushing numbers weren’t what you would call fantastic, he did show flashes.

Sanders would reach the end zone for the first time in his career, but unfortunately, was called back due to a bogus holding call. Following the Eagles matchup, two former Penn State players faced off against each other in the Dallas Cowboys versus New York Giants game.

On Dallas’ side, veteran linebacker Sean Lee began his tenth season for the Cowboys. Meanwhile, Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley was kicking off year two for himself. Despite being the lone star for the Giants, Barkley found out once again this year he won’t be able to do everything alone.

In other words, Lee’s Cowboys handled Barkley’s Giants with ease. However, Barkley still showed out as best as he could by rushing for 120 yards off of eleven carries. Unfortunately, his team couldn’t be uplifted by his standout performance as New York took an ugly loss on the road.

Nittany Lions’ love

No hard feelings though for the former Penn Stater’s. Following the week one battle in Dallas, Barkley, and Lee met up for an NFL jersey swap. The trend got popular a few years back as players tend to meet up with their respective fellow athletes to exchange their game jerseys signed with an autograph and a message to hold onto forever.

In this case, two Penn State legends met following the matchup to join the trend. Sunday wasn’t the first time Lee and Barkley faced each other and surely won’t be the last. As they both play for NFC East teams, they are guaranteed to meet twice a year as long as they are both fitted in Cowboys and Giants jerseys. However, the Penn State love is always there.
