2. Sean Clifford’s stat line

What’s a lineup of predictions without guessing what the quarterback’s stat line will look like? Last week, Sean Clifford debuted as a starter for Penn State. Expectations were kept in check mostly because he’s a young guy with hardly any experience in college football.

At first, he wasn’t all that impressive. A shaky start made it evident that his nerves were getting the best of him. After Clifford got settled in though he ended up having a pretty decent afternoon. He threw for over 200 yards and connected with KJ Hamler twice in the end zone.

Since the score was so out of reach for the opponent, the Lions’ starters got the rest of the day off, including Clifford. Merely looking at the stat sheets will tell you his performance was nothing over the top. But I believe Clifford will come out firing on all cylinders from the beginning this time around. This week, Clifford will pass for just about over 315 yards, and notch three passing TDs.
