Micah Parsons, LB

This season, Penn State’s young star linebacker Micah Parsons is expected to emerge as one of the nation’s best. During the offseason, Parsons has been mentioned as a potential future first-round pick, based off of what he showed during his Freshman year for the Lions.

We don’t have any doubts about Parsons progress as we know just how dominant he can be. However, he had a quiet afternoon last week. Similar to Brown, Parsons came out of the game with only one tackle. Now, that’s not to say he had a bad game against Idaho.

Let’s be honest, the Lions’ defensive line took care of business better than anybody. There was hardly a time when the ball even got out of the backfield. The pressure up front was so ridiculously good that the linebackers pretty much had the afternoon off. This week, the situation won’t be completely different, but we expect the linebackers to get involved more this time around.
