Three-star prospect Ibrahim Traore has recently been linked to the Penn State football Nittany Lions from two more analysts.

A busy summer for Penn State football is slowly beginning to come to an end. The 2019 NCAA football season is approaching, and it’s time for the Nittany Lions to start aiming their focus on the new year. Well, it’s about that time for the players at least.

The Nittany Lions recruiting staff is still keeping busy as they are looking to improve the roster for next season and beyond. Just last year, the Lions came out of the recruiting period with 22 total enrollees joining the team, notching the 13th-best recruiting class in the nation.

This year, the 2020 class is in very similar shape as they currently possess 22 commitments from prospects, ranking 14th in the nation as of right now. Don’t get it twisted though, Penn State was in weird shape a couple of months ago, as they lost the commitments of four athletes.

At one point, the Nittany Lions were looking at a class that ranked outside of the Top-25 for recruiting classes in the nation for next season. But after a significant wave of prospects committed towards the end of June, and beginning of July, PSU climbed back into relevancy.

Now, they are looking to not only surpass last year’s recruiting total — but they are trying to reach 30 total commitments before it is time for athletes to begin signing. Right now, they are on the right path. Penn State is eight commitments away from their final goal for the recruiting class.

Who will be next, though? Well, according to two national recruiting analysts, Penn State is in favor of a New York-based, three-star offensive tackle, Ibrahim Traore. Late last month, Traore visited Happy Valley for the final recruiting event of the summer, and the Lions made him an offer.

Next. When will James Franklin name a starting QB?. dark

It is now believed by not only Brian Dohn and Steve Wiltfong that Traore will be PSU bound next year, but also six other recruiting insiders and analysts believe Traore is a lock to head to Penn State, according to 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball projections.

The three-star offensive tackle was significantly interested in the Lions after taking on a visit, but he isn’t ready to make his decision official quite yet. It was believed he was going to come up with an answer before August ends, but now he could drag out his decision beyond September as well. We will wait and see, but so far it seems like Penn State is in great shape.
