No. 20 Iowa – October 12th, 2019

As we’ve discovered when the official schedule for 2019 came out, Penn State’s first set of games aren’t exactly the most difficult battles. In fact, they are in a great situation considering they have so many unknowns coming into the 2019 season.

They can get their mistakes out of the way during September, and it shouldn’t affect them to the point where they are officially out of playoff contention by the second month of the season. At this point when they take on Iowa, Penn State should be ready to go to war.

Iowa is one of seven Big Ten teams in the mix within the Top-25. Last year, they finished with a 9-4 record. Penn State ended the 2018 season with the same record, but one of their nine victories came from a close win against Iowa, with a 30-24 victory.
