Will Penn State football land a commitment from four-star running back, Caziah Holmes? Only time will tell.

This past week has been quite the comeback for Penn State football’s 2020 recruiting class. They went from barely being ranked as a Top-25 recruiting class to now cracking the top-ten within a week. With eight prospects committing recently, Penn State could be expecting more to come very soon. And one of those commitments could be a big one.

Recently, Happy Valley had an essential visitor from Cocoa, Florida. Four-star running back Caziah Holmes appeared on campus for an official visit on June 14th. His arrival made a ton of noise at Penn State, and when he departed, he left with very good vibes about the program.

Holmes has nothing but great things to say about Penn State following his visit, which caused a significant change in predictions for his future landing spot. “All that the people said about Penn State was spot on. The people, the players, the environment, the school — just everything people talked about Penn State was spot on and amazing. … It was better than I expected it to be,” Holmes told 247 Sports’, Sean Fitz.

Going into certain specifics regarding his visit with the Nittany Lions caused an exciting development in Holmes’ recruiting. While he did visit other schools in the process so far, there aren’t any reports of Holmes raving about a program quite as he did with Penn State.

So with Holmes’ excitement for the Nittany Lions came some interesting predictions from 247. According to their crystal ball predictions, Penn State has an 83-percent chance of landing the Florida prospect. One of those votes includes FSU insider, Josh Newberg.

Considering that FSU was the other school to land a few votes for Holmes’ potential commitment, it seems significant enough to note that an FSU insider himself sees Holmes packing up and leaving for Pennsylvania. So far, Holmes hasn’t cut down his 21 offers to a top-seven, but he plans to do that soon.

According to Tyler Donohue, Holmes is set to list his potential destinations on July 9th. Then, a month after that, he will officially make his commitment. Will he tell James Franklin and company that he’s coming to Penn State in 2020 on August 9th? Only time will tell. But so far, the odds seem to be in the Nittany Lions favor, which is a huge plus.
